The Bengal Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BCC&i), the first body of its kind in India, was formalized in the year 1853 in Kolkata. Over the last one and a half centuries, the Chamber has played multiple roles as catalyst, initiator, facilitator, business partner and service provider, helping Central and State Governments in crafting pioneering and significant legislation that have steered the evolution of Commerce and Industry in India. Sourav Ganguly, a former Indian Cricketer and Captain of the Indian national team needs no introduction. A St. Xavier’s alumnus and wonderful orator, he is affectionately called Dada by his Bengali and Non-Bengali fans alike, and is the main speaker at the upcoming Leadership Lecture Series on December 14th, 2018 being held in Williamson Magor Hall, at The Bengal Chamber Premises.
